Internship & Training Contract
Summer Internship Programme
Our 4-week internship is available to rising third year law students and is designed to arm you with practical legal work experience. You will have the opportunity to work with different practices and will be supervised by a qualified solicitor.
As part of the programme, a series of legal training workshops and sharing sessions will be available to enhance your legal skills, industry knowledge and gain an in-depth first hand understanding of our practice areas. You can also expect a networking session in these 4 weeks to help enrich the connections you make during your time with us.
2025 summer internship dates:
- 2 June 2025 – 27 June 2025
Participants in our Summer Internship Programme who perform exceptionally well and meet the requirements expected of a Practice Trainee will be considered for a Practice Training Contract in 2028 (jointly held with Ashurst LLP, our Formal Law Alliance partner). During your internship, you will complete a written assignment, and if your performance feedback and assignment are both satisfactory, you may be invited for an interview for the Practice Training Contract opportunity.
Application Process
Applications to our 2025 Summer Internship Programme are open from 1 November 2024 to 31 December 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview in January / February 2025.
Applications can be submitted via Ashurst’s career page.
Note:
You are not eligible to apply for both an internship and a training contract opportunity within the same recruitment window. We kindly ask that you apply for only one opportunity during this period. If you complete an internship with us, you will be considered for a training contract interview at the end of your internship, provided your performance meets the required standards.
Training Contract with ADTLaw & Ashurst
Our training programme is 24 months in duration where you will first go through a 12-month Practice Training Contract with ADTLaw before embarking on a 12-month Post-Qualification Training Programme with Ashurst that consists of seat rotations and potentially an international secondment.
We currently also welcome applications for Training Contracts 2025, 2026 and 2027 on a rolling basis for our Corporate Transactions practice.
Honorarium
You will receive a competitive monthly honorarium during the Practice Training Contract and your Part B Bar Course and Examination.
